Rain Day

Last Sunday it rained so we decided to stay home. Art and I were prepared to do just about anything to keep Zatanna happy. For a little girl who loves to be outside a rain day can be a terrible thing. Luckily we were able to keep her happy. It took all the stuffed animals in the house, but we were able to do it.

Seneca Park Zoo

Last week Zatanna and I went to the Zoo. Unfortunatley daddy had to work and was not able to join us. With daddy not there I was not able to get alot of picture. Zatanna had a great time. She loves all the animals, but really enjoyed the penguins, elephant and monkeys. We had a really good time.

First Haircut

Zatanna finally had her first haircut. She does not have much hair to cut, but a couple of the strands were getting long. She really enjoyed the experience.

Random

Zatanna and I went to Party City and she fell in love with the lei. She just had to have it and I couldn't resist. She loves to wear it around. Before heading out she put it on.

She has her own ideas about what she should wear.

Mommy's Little Helper

Zatanna has wanted to help out with everything lately. She decided to help me unload the groceries. Unfortunately for me this did not go as planned. She helped remove the red pepper from the bag, but before putting it on the table she bit it several times. After realizing that it was not something the wanted she was nice enough to put it down.

Military Cat

One of the cats for the Catskill Cats is a MP. The artist did a great job on the cat. Zatanna did not want to pose with the cat, but I did get pictures.

Catskill Cats

A couple of weeks ago we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa Mosher. While Grandma was at work Zatanna and I went with Grandpa to see some of the Catskill Cats. Zatanna only liked a couple of them before she got bored. Although the cats did not hold her attention she did have a great time with Grandpa and got to meet a very nice German Shepard.

Special Outfit

One day while at daycare Zatanna spilled stuff on her dress. Because it was a hot day they did not want to put pants on her. So they put a onesie on with her bloomers. The socks are Zatanna's choice. Lately she has insisted on having socks on. So this is the outfit that she came home from daycare wearing.

Wild Wings

After seeing the horses we went into Wild Wings to see all the birds. Zatanna always has a great time with the birds. She loves walking around and waving to all of them.

Mounted Patrol Training Facility

At Mendon Parks outside of Wild Wings we are able to watch the horses that are part of the Monroe County Mounted Patrol. Before going into Wild Wings we stopped to see the horses. Zatanna loves to watch the horses.

Big Girl Car Seat

At 16 months Zatanna finally reached 20lb and was able to get a big girl car seat. She was a little unsure of it. While I was holding the camera I could not get her to smile.

She does like being able to see out of the windows easier. She does not like the car seat for long trips. She could not get comforable to sleep.

Monroe County Sheriff's Mounted Patrol

Zatanna and I went to the Library to attend a presentation by the Monroe County's Mounted Patrol. Zatanna loved seeing the horse from a distance. It just so happens that the horse, Sam, at the presentation was the same horse that Zatanna saw previously at the training facility next to Wild Wings. Given her age the presentation did not hold her attention. She was more interested in yelling "Hi" to Sam. After the presentation they allowed people to come up to Sam to pet him. Zatanna did not want to get up close with Sam. I was about an arm's length away from Sam before she turned away. Zatanna had a great time running around the grounds of the library. She loved their flowers.
