Earmuffs

Before daddy could go out to shoot, Zatanna had to test out his earmuffs. She wasn't too sure of them, but we got some cute pictures of her wearing them.

Birthday Present from Aunt Rachel and Uncle Stan

Thanks Aunt Rachel and Uncle Stan for the beautiful elephant piggy bank. As usual Zatanna was very inquisitive about the paper, ribbons and her card. She loves her new piggy bank and the noises it makes since Grandpa Reynolds got her started filling it.

Outfit from Molly

Thank you Molly for the beautiful outfit that you got Zatanna for Christmas. She looks adorable. She was more interested in playing than posing for a picture.

First Purse

At Wild Wings, Zatanna found her first purse. The moment that Zatanna saw the owl purse she fell in love. She barely let go of her purse all afternoon. I couldn't get a good picture of her with the purse so I'm posting a picture of her purse by itself.

Dress Up

The week following Zatanna's birthday her daycare had picture dress up day. Zatanna got to dress up as a strawberry. She had a great time. I love how she is checking out the flower in the first picture.

Pictures

For Zatanna's first birthday we went and had her pictures taken and family photos. Zatanna was in a happy mood and was loving the camera. She was happy until we changed her into her other outfit. Then it was harder to get her to stay in one spot for her picture to be taken and harder to get her to smile. In the end it was all worth it. The family photo came out really nice and Zatanna's pictures look great.

Wild Wings

Art, Zatanna and I went to Wild Wings at Mendon Park today. Wild Wings is a sanctuary for birds of prey that are not able to be released into the wild after being injured. They have many beautiful birds. At the sanctuary they took in a bobcat that was in need of a home.


The Bald Eagle is Athena, the Snowy Owl is Pearl, the Turkey Vulture is Barf, and the Golden Eagles are Isis and Zeus.

Before being rescued Tara the bobcat was de-clawed so she could be sold in the exotic pet trade.

We all had a great time meeting the animals and learning about them. After Wild Wings we decided to take a walk along one of the trails at Mendon Park. Along the way we came across a very friendly squirrel. As you can see from the pictures the squirrel actually climbed on Art's legs when he squatted down to get a closer look.

Happy Easter!

Easter will always be a special holiday for Zatanna. It is the first holiday that she ever celebrated. Here are some pictures from Zatanna's first Easter.




In Zatanna's Easter basket this year the Easter Bunny left her three stuffed bunnies and some bunny ears. Zatanna enjoyed playing with the bunny ears more than she enjoyed wearing them.

Ladybug fun

While out shopping Art and I came across a large stuffed ladybug. As we walked through the store Zatanna played with her the entire time. We decided she was having too much fun to take it away, so we got it for her. As you can see the fun did not stop in the store.

Dogs, Chics, Easter Bunnies, Oh My

Zatanna got to have breakfast with the Easter Bunny. As usual Zatanna had a great time. She loved the Easter bunny and all of his friends. She spent the majority of her time looking around smiling at everyone.

Zatanna got to wear a beautiful dress that her Grandma and Grandpa Reynolds got her for Christmas. Zatanna had no fears of the Easter Bunny.

One of the ladies who worked the Breakfast with Santa event was working the Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and remembered Zatanna. She was really sweet and let Zatanna try on her bunny ears. Zatanna didn't keep the ears on long, but still enjoyed them.

The Easter Bunny and Chic stopped by Zatanna's highchair to see her. She had big smiles for them the entire time.



Zatanna had a great breakfast and really enjoyed all of the people she met.
